The Hall of State was built by the State of Texas as the centerpiece of the 1936 Centennial. The building was designed to serve as a shrine to Texas
history. Located in Fair Park, the Hall of State is a magnificent place for special events and is home to the
Dallas Historical Society. Exhibits are open to the public at no charge Tuesday through Saturday, 9 am - 5 pm, and
Sunday, 1 pm - 5 pm. Closed Mondays.
